Phaser Limited is a Gloucestershire based company providing health and safety services to both residential and commercial clients.
Recent clients include:
- Village Hall Management Committees
- Residential Management Companies for apartment blocks and private residential estates
- Landlords of business parks and industrial estates
Our aim is to provide a personal service tailored to your specific requirements and designed to ensure that you satisfy your statutory obligations under health and safety legislation.
Under Regulation 7 of the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations (MHSWR) 1999 employers are required to seek the assistance of one or more 'competent persons'. Large organisations normally appoint a health and safety advisor for this purpose; however this may not be practical for smaller organisations. If you do not employ a health and safety advisor you will need to obtain advice from an external source. This is where Phaser Limited can help you by providing a source of professional health and safety expertise.
Our consultants are holders of the NEBOSH Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety (DIPNEBOSH); the first UK vocational qualification to be developed specifically for health and safety professionals. They will also be members of the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH); Europe's leading body for individuals with a professional involvement in occupational safety and health.
What services do we provide?
Risk Assessments
General Risk Assessment
Regulation 3 of the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations (MHSWR) 1999 places a legal obligation on employers to assess the risk to not only the health and safety of their employees, but others who could be affected by their undertaking. This could include contractors, visitors, neighbours and members of the public.
Fire Risk Assessment
Under the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, a responsible person (usually an employer, owner or occupier) must carry out a fire risk assessment and put measures in place that adequately protect in the event of fire.
Display Screen Equipment (DSE) Risk Assessment
Under the Health and Safety (Display Screen Equipment) Regulations 1992 emplyers must risk assess work stations.
Manual Handling Risk Assessment
Under the Manual Handling Operations Regulations 1992 a risk assessment must be carried out where manual handling operations are unavoidable.
COSHH Risk Assessment
The Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) Regulations 2002 require that a specific risk assessment is carried out in regard to hazardous substances. There is a prescriptive structure for this and each stage of the assessment should be completed before progressing to the next
Both general risk assessments and fire risk assessments are presented in the form of a bound report which will identify the hazards and recommend remedial actions. Advice will be based on legislation and best practice and will be sensible and proportionate to the risk.
In the case of Display Screen Equipment, Manual Handling and COSHH risk assessments we can either support you through the risk assessment process or carry out the risk assessment on your behalf.
